Position Overview
The Medical Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth, managing client relationships, and building Mikata Health’s presence within the Western Canadian territory. This role includes leveraging HubSpot CRM to manage the sales pipeline, executing strategic territory plans, and achieving sales targets. The individual will regularly visit medical offices, hospitals, and prospective clients, attend events and conferences, and travel as required to ensure effective territory coverage. Outbound activities such as cold calling are also expected.
Key Responsibilities
- Territory Management:
- Working under the direction of the SVP Sales and Marketing develop and execute a strategic plan to expand Mikata Health’s footprint in Western Canada.
- Conduct in-person visits to medical offices, hospitals, and prospective clients to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Complete additional outbound activities including cold calling to build and maintain relationships.
- Identify, prioritize, and target key accounts within the territory.
- Stay informed on regional market dynamics, competition, and client requirements.
- Sales Growth and Execution:
- Achieve and surpass assigned sales targets through effective prospecting and consultative selling techniques.
- Deliver tailored product presentations and demonstrations to potential customers.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
- Utilize HubSpot CRM to effectively track leads, monitor sales activities, and maintain customer records.
- Ensure timely updates of all sales data and provide visibility into the sales pipeline.
- Client Management and Engagement:
- Foster strong relationships to drive new customer growth and build retention and satisfaction with those new customers.
- Represent Mikata Health at events, conferences, and industry gatherings to build relationships and promote the brand.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, customer success, and product development, to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Provide detailed activity reports, market feedback, and sales forecasts to the SVP Sales and Marketing.
Competencies and Skills
- Sales Expertise: Proven ability to drive sales and achieve targets, preferably in medical or SaaS sales.
- CRM Mastery: Proficiency in HubSpot or similar CRM tools for pipeline management and reporting.
- Territory Management: Ability to navigate and build relationships across a large geographic region.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Customer Focus: Commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs through in-person engagement and support.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to work needed hours to attend events and adjust strategies based on market trends and organizational goals.
- Travel Preparedness: Willingness to travel extensively within the territory, including overnight stays, to maximize territory coverage.
