Our services include native seed and plant production, shoreline and wetland restoration, prescribed burns, conservation grazing, vegetation management, and ecological consulting. We also support solar and infrastructure projects with pollinator-friendly practices and land stewardship expertise.

Our seed division produces, processes, and distributes one of the largest selections of native seed in the region. From cleaned seed to final shipment, the fulfillment team supports restoration contractors, government agencies, conservation organizations, retailers, wholesale partners, and other customers with accurate, high-quality seed products.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Warehouse & Fulfillment Supervisor to own the day-to-day performance and continued development of our native seed warehouse and fulfillment operation. This role is accountable for two critical outcomes: maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

As our seed business continues to grow, this role must also look beyond today's workload. You will strengthen the processes, inventory controls, warehouse systems, workflows, and team capabilities needed to support increasing volume and complexity. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of an operation, identifying where it can work better, and building the structure needed to scale.

What You Will Do

Warehouse, Fulfillment, & Inventory Operations

• Own the day-to-day performance of the seed warehouse and fulfillment operation, including inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and warehouse organization.
• Maintain a high level of inventory accuracy and seed-lot traceability, ensuring inventory records accurately reflect product quantities, locations, and lot information.
• Oversee fulfillment from order release through shipment, ensuring customer orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Plan and prioritize workloads based on order volume, customer commitments, staffing, inventory availability, and other operational needs.
• Monitor fulfillment performance and quality, proactively addressing errors, breakdowns, or other issues that could impact quality, accuracy, productivity, or on-time delivery.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, fulfillment errors, and recurring operational issues to identify root causes and implement solutions.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and develop the Seed Fulfillment team, setting clear expectations for quality, productivity, inventory accuracy, safety, and customer deadlines.
• Plan staffing and workload to ensure the team is prepared for current demand, seasonal peaks, and upcoming fulfillment needs.
• Train, coach, and hold team members accountable while building cross-training and capability across the operation.
• Provide hands-on support when needed due to staffing, volume, training, or other operational needs.

Process Improvement & Growth

• Continuously evaluate warehouse and fulfillment processes, inventory controls, and workflows to improve accuracy, efficiency, throughput, and capacity.
• Develop and maintain consistent processes and procedures that support reliable execution and continued growth.
• Use operational data and performance trends to identify bottlenecks, recurring issues, capacity constraints, and opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate warehouse layout, product flow, storage practices, equipment, and technology to improve operations and support increasing volume.
• Anticipate future staffing, equipment, technology, storage, and facility needs and recommend solutions before they become operational constraints.

Shipping & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Oversee outbound shipping and carrier coordination to support accurate, timely, and cost-effective delivery of customer orders.
• Partner with production, sales, and other teams to coordinate inventory availability, order priorities, upcoming demand, and fulfillment needs.
• Communicate inventory issues, capacity concerns, delays, and other operational risks early so they can be addressed before impacting customers.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

• 3+ years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, manufacturing, inventory control, or a similar operational environment, including experience leading or coordinating the work of others.
• Demonstrated experience managing inventory accuracy, inventory controls, and resolving inventory discrepancies; experience with lot-controlled or traceable inventory preferred.
• Experience overseeing order fulfillment or another deadline-driven operation where accuracy, quality, and on-time completion are critical.
• Strong operational and organizational skills with the ability to plan workloads, establish priorities, monitor performance, and keep work moving efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to identify process or workflow problems, determine root causes, and implement practical improvements.
• Ability to use operational data and performance measures to identify trends, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using inventory management, warehouse, ERP, or similar operational systems, and the ability to learn new technology.
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to set expectations, coach and develop employees, and address performance concerns.
• Ability to balance immediate operational priorities with longer-term process improvements and capacity needs as the business grows.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Experience with seed, agriculture, related products, or other lot-controlled inventory preferred.

• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment with seed dust exposure.
