Position Summary / Role
As a Salesforce Business Analyst / Administrator, you’ll serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and the engineering team—owning requirements gathering, process analysis, and platform configuration. Built on Health Cloud and B2B Commerce, our platform supports clinic onboarding, product ordering, fulfillment, and payment processing across multiple user personas. You’ll partner closely with the Engineering Manager to translate business needs into actionable work—writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, mapping current and future-state processes, and determining whether solutions are best delivered through declarative configuration or custom development. When work requires Apex or custom development, you’ll collaborate with the Engineering Manager to scope, prioritize, and validate the work through the team’s sprint cycles. You’ll also own the day-to-day administration of the org, build out reporting and dashboards to give leadership visibility into key metrics, and support our customer-facing teams with escalations and system questions as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and refine business requirements through stakeholder interviews, process mapping, and workshop sessions
- Analyze current-state workflows and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, or simplification
- Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria that the development team can estimate and deliver within sprint cycles
- Create process flow diagrams, data models, and functional specifications for complex initiatives
- Evaluate business requests and recommend the best path to delivery—declarative configuration vs. custom development
- Conduct gap analysis between business needs and current platform capabilities
- Define success metrics and KPIs for new features and process changes
- Administer and configure the Salesforce platform including custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and validation rules
- Manage user accounts, permission sets, roles, and sharing rules across a complex security model
- Build, maintain, and optimize Salesforce Flows to support evolving business processes
- Administer Experience Cloud portals including user access, navigation, and content
- Manage B2B Commerce configuration—product catalog, pricing tiers, cart limits, and storefront settings
- Oversee clinic intake and approval process workflows
- Handle data quality initiatives including deduplication, bulk imports, and data cleanup
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards to give leadership visibility into sales performance, lead conversion, order volume, and clinic onboarding metrics
- Analyze platform data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement
- Deliver data-driven recommendations to stakeholders
- Partner with the Engineering Manager to triage incoming business requests and prioritize platform work alongside feature development in release planning
- Participate in sprint ceremonies—bringing business context to standups, planning, and demos
- Lead UAT efforts for both declarative changes you’ve built and custom features delivered by developers
- Collaborate on release testing and validation before deployments reach production
- Serve as the escalation point for the support team on Salesforce-related issues
- Document processes, configurations, and system changes
- Train internal teams on Salesforce features and new functionality
