About the role

The Back on Track Progam Worker is responsible for engaging Back on Track (BOT) participants in completing their Back on Track requirements, within PAARC’s contractual obligations with the Remedial Measures Program at CAMH and the Ministry of Transportation.


We are hiring for one (1) full-time, permanent role working at our main office on Dixie Road.


What you'll do

  • Identify and engage with persons who require Back on Track program services, appropriately and respectfully
  • Answer inquiries regarding PAARC’s Back on Track program and re-direct inquiries as appropriate to BOT’s head office or the Ministry of Transportation
  • Maintain accurate and neat logs of all communications and activities
  • Screen and schedule participants into appropriate Back on Track components (assessment, education, treatment, follow-up)
  • Coordinate the schedule of facilitators for delivery of the Back on Track components
  • Conduct Back on Track assessments and follow-ups as required
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry, including session results and follow-up notes
  • Ensure program components are provided within contractual time limits
  • Prepare and submit invoices to Back on Track head office on a monthly basis

  • Able to maintain constructive, open, honest, two-way communication with management, supervisor, colleagues, partners, suppliers, clients, and all visitors
  • Strong written communications skills
  • Able to make decisions based on organizational values, policy and organizational objectives/priorities
  • Able to work without supervision, with an appreciation of when to seek input from others
  • Able to develop and maintain excellent record-keeping and file management systems


Requirements

  • Post secondary degree in human services or substance abuse, or a combination of relevant education and experience
  • Experience working with persons with substance use concerns
  • An understanding of substance misuse/abuse problems
  • Experience engaging with clients and using appropriate screening and assessment tools
  • Non-violent crisis intervention, ASIST, CPR, First-Aid certifications


Working Conditions

Office environment and community based settings.

Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:30am - 4:30pm

The pay range for this role is:

45,000 - 53,000 CAD per year (Dixie Road)
