About the role

Sofive is looking for a reliable and team-oriented Cook to support the food and beverage operation at our soccer facility.

The Cook is responsible for preparing food consistently, maintaining strong kitchen standards, and helping ensure an efficient experience for players, families, guests, and staff. This role works closely with facility leadership and the broader food and beverage team during daily operations, leagues, tournaments, parties, and events.

What you'll do

Food Preparation & Service

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Sofive standards
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, portioning, preparation, and presentation
  • Support efficient service during both regular operations and high-volume periods

Kitchen Operations

  • Complete opening, service, and closing responsibilities
  • Maintain clean and organized preparation areas, equipment, and storage spaces
  • Ensure the kitchen remains stocked and ready for daily service

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, storage, and temperature-control requirements
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Follow all applicable health and safety standards

Inventory & Product Control

  • Properly receive, store, label, and rotate food products
  • Support portion control and waste reduction
  • Communicate inventory shortages or operational needs to management

Team Support

  • Work closely with the food and beverage and facility teams
  • Support leagues, tournaments, events, and other high-volume facility programming
  • Maintain a professional and positive approach with guests and team members

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen, restaurant, hospitality, or food-service experience preferred
  • Strong attention to food quality, cleanliness, and organization
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team
  • Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and food-safety standards
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move food products and supplies
  • Food Handler or applicable food-safety certification preferred, or willingness to obtain one
