compliance exposure by auditing deals in real time and enforcing standards consistently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct real-time audits of submitted solar deals, including contracts, financing agreements,
proposals, and supporting documentation
2. Validate accuracy and completeness of all deal components prior to approval or submission
3. Ensure compliance with company policies, state and federal regulations, and utility/jurisdictional
requirements
4. Identify and flag discrepancies, missing information, or potential compliance risks
5. Return deals for correction with clear, actionable audit notes
6. Maintain audit logs and documentation of all findings and outcomes
7. Monitor audit trends and report recurring issues to leadership
8. Partner with operations, compliance, and training teams to reduce error rates and improve
submission quality
9. Uphold audit integrity by applying standards consistently across all submissions
What You Bring
1. 2+ years of experience in solar operations, compliance, auditing, or quality control
2. Strong understanding of solar project lifecycle and documentation requirements
3. Knowledge of financing structures (loans, PPAs, cash deals)
4. Familiarity with basic system design and proposal components
5. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify errors and risk factors
6. Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment without sacrificing accuracy
7. Strong written communication skills for documenting audit findings
8. Comfortable working independently and making objective, standards-based decisions
9. Experience with CRM systems and solar proposal platforms preferred
What Success Looks Like
1 High audit accuracy and consistency across all reviewed deals
2 Reduction in downstream errors, rework, and project delays
3 Improved compliance adherence and reduced risk exposure
4 Clear, actionable audit feedback that drives better submission quality
Work Environment
1. Structured, process-driven role with defined audit criteria
2. Limited customer interaction; primarily internal-facing
3. Requires focus, consistency, and sound judgment under deadlines
Compensation
Competitive base salary (based on experience) with potential performance incentives tied to audit
accuracy, turnaround time, and quality metrics.
