About the Role

This role will work alongside the Luedey Consultants Inc. (LCI) team, powered by Sterling Brokers.


The Benefits Analyst supports a team of Benefit Consultants who manage employee benefits for a range of medium to large clients and provides additional assistance to teams across Sterling Brokers.


For over 20 years Luedey Consultants Inc. (LCI) has been operating as an innovative and respected leader in the Employee Benefits consulting industry in Atlantic Canada. Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, LCI offers clients expert consulting on group insurance plans, benefits administration, Employee and Family Assistance Programs, Wellness initiatives, and other Employee Benefits programs, primarily serving clients across Atlantic Canada.


This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. The office is conveniently located in Bayers Lake Park, Halifax, Nova Scotia, providing a collaborative workspace for team support and client engagement.



What you'll do

  • Collaborate and analyze claims data for renewals and claims updates
  • Draft renewal reports and claims update reports
  • Provide support during a Request for Proposal (i.e., market study)
  • Review plan contracts, booklets and plan documentation for accuracy, and completeness
  • Develop plan administration and member communication
  • Coordinate meetings, including agendas and meeting notes
  • Assist with special projects and events
  • Update client information on internal databases
  • Deliver quality work with a high degree of accuracy in an efficient manner
  • Attend and participate in client meetings, as required


Qualifications

  • Group insurance industry experience is an asset, along with experience in the trade union and hour-bank benefits industry
  • Bachelor’s degree and / or a combination of education and experience
  • CEBS or GBA designation is an asset
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams (minimum of an intermediate level for Excel)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Well developed communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team environment
