Shape, Build, and Bring Metal to Life
We’re looking for a Metal Fabrication Laborer who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and takes pride in quality workmanship. In this role, you’ll support the metal fabrication process by preparing, measuring, cutting, bending, and finishing metal components — helping turn raw materials into precise, functional parts.

What You’ll Do
Material Preparation & Handling
- Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, and work orders to plan operations
- Measure, mark out, cut, and bend metal components accurately
- Move, stage, and organize materials safely between storage and production areas
- Assist machine operators with handling larger metal pieces
- Tag materials with job numbers and identifying marks as required
Equipment & Tools
- Operate grinders, brushes, hoses, and other hand or power tools safely and efficiently
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment as required
- Fabricate and handle metal components to support production goals
Cleanliness, Waste, & Inventory
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Collect and dispose of scrap, garbage, and recyclables according to procedure
- Monitor stock levels, anticipate supplies, and assist with ordering and verifying inventory
- Conserve resources by using materials and equipment efficiently
Maintenance & Collaboration
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and report issues promptly
- Complete production and quality documentation as required
- Work closely with the team to achieve production targets
- Suggest operational improvements to supervisors to enhance safety, quality, or efficiency
Safety Is Paramount
This is a safety-sensitive position. You are expected to:
- Follow all safety instructions, procedures, and protocols
- Wear the correct PPE for every task
- Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures
- Report unsafe conditions immediately
- Maintain good housekeeping and hazard-free work areas
- Work safely around moving equipment, heat, fumes, and airborne particles
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial work preferred
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems or machinery an asset
- Hands-on experience using hand and power tools
Technical Skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
- Solid mechanical aptitude and understanding of tools, machines, and equipment
- Proficiency with basic computer systems (Microsoft Office, ERP systems)
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices

Working Conditions
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, heat, fumes, and moderate-to-high noise levels
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Physical demands including standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
