About the Role
Lead product strategy and execution for our community platform that connects 4.5M+ members across 70+ condition-specific networks. You'll own the full product lifecycle—from user insights to shipped features—driving engagement, retention, and user-generated content.
This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco (typically 2 days/week in office), and a cover letter is required - see details below.
What You'll Do
- Own core user journey for engagement — Design and iterate features that drive deeper engagement, retention, and community impact
- Set strategy and execute — Define product strategy to boost fuel user-generated content, increase stickiness, and improve value for patients
- Measure and iterate — Set clear success metrics, monitor impact, and obsess over continuous improvement
- Collaborate across teams — Work with Product, Engineering, Design, Data, and Marketing to ship features every week
- Champion user insights — Pursue deep understanding of user needs through research, experimentation, and dogfooding
- Mentor teammates — As part of a tight-knit team of 3 PMs reporting to product leadership, you'll share best practices and shape our high-performance culture
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
- 30 Days: Master our user journey, core metrics, and growth levers. Spend time with users and in-product to build perspective.
- 60 Days: Build strong cross-functional relationships. Launch 5 impactful experiments with clear success metrics on engagement or user generated content.
- 90 Days: Shape the next roadmap with proposals advancing MAU and user-generated content. Lead a product demo at Coffee Talk and share learnings at Friday Learnings.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Product Manager — You've been in the function for enough years to have made mistakes and have a perspective. You've shipped consumer products. Healthcare / community (LinkedIn, Reddit, etc.) experience is a plus.
- Mission-aligned — Passionate about connecting patients to support, information, and better health outcomes
- Strategic executor — You see the big picture, set bold goals, and prioritize ruthlessly. You move from vision to shipped features.

- User-obsessed — You live and breathe user-centric design and empathy
- Personalization-experienced — You've shipped personalized features or are eager to learn
