About the role

We are seeking experienced Engagement Managers to lead our client service teams, dedicated to designing and delivering top-notch e-commerce strategies and solutions. This role involves strategic oversight, team leadership, and successful execution to meet our client's requirements. As a key leader of our consulting service line, you will directly report to the practice leader, an ex-McKinsey consultant, ensuring that our client engagements are executed with the same rigour and precision that defines a leading consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Project Leadership: Lead the design and delivery of high-impact e-commerce strategies and solutions that align with client business goals and drive digital transformation.
  • Client Digital Roadmaps: Collaborate with clients to define and implement long-term digital roadmaps, ensuring their business strategies are supported by scalable and future-proof technology solutions.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Stay ahead of industry trends and integrate cutting-edge technologies and methodologies into project delivery to ensure clients remain competitive in their markets.
  • Business Value Creation: Translate client objectives into actionable project plans that maximize ROI and business outcomes, ensuring that each project contributes meaningfully to the client’s long-term success.
  • Cross-functional Team Leadership: Oversee and inspire multi-disciplinary teams, fostering collaboration between business analysts, technical experts, and stakeholders to achieve seamless project execution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with client executives and internal stakeholders, facilitating strategic discussions to ensure alignment on project vision and goals.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management: Proactively identify risks and opportunities, proposing strategic actions to mitigate challenges and capitalize on potential business growth areas.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Utilize advanced project management tools and methodologies to continuously monitor project performance, optimizing processes for improved efficiency and outcomes.
  • Scalable Solutions Development: Ensure the development of scalable and sustainable e-commerce solutions that can evolve with the client’s business needs and technological advancements.
  • Strategic Reporting and Communication: Deliver clear, insightful, and actionable reports to senior client leadership, providing strategic recommendations based on project data and analytics.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Solid academic foundation in Business, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Consulting Background: Previous experience with a Big 4, MBB, or similar technology consulting firm is highly preferred.
  • Relevant Technology Experience: Proven track record as an Engagement Manager in technology-driven projects (such as ERP, digital technologies, low-code platforms, and more). Experience with Shopify and other e-commerce platforms is highly preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding and advanced knowledge of at least one core technology or industry sector.
  • Distributed Team Leadership: Experience managing projects with distributed or remote teams, ensuring seamless coordination across geographies.
  • SDLC and Implementation Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and practical experience with various implementation methodologies.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage both client-facing and internal teams.
  • Leadership and Management: Demonstrated ability to manage both tasks and teams, driving performance and achieving project goals.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Project Management Certification: PMP other recognized Project Management certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

  • Effective Leadership of Diverse Teams: Excel in leading and synergizing a diverse team consisting of operations professionals (e.g., business analysts, project managers, and scrum masters) and tech professionals (e.g., developers, onshore and offshore). This includes fostering a collaborative environment, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals across teams, and mentoring team members to enhance their skills and performance. The outcome will be a cohesive, high-performing team that consistently meets project objectives and adapts effectively to changing demands.

  • Team Performance and Development: Build a high-performing team focusing on continuous learning and development.
  • Operational Excellence: Streamline processes and workflows to achieve operational excellence.
  • Comprehensive Documentation for Senior Client Reporting: Develop thorough documentation tailored for senior client reporting, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and comprehensive coverage of project progress and outcomes.
  • Direct Contribution to Key Deliverables: When needed, create critical project deliverables through direct involvement in essential tasks (such as creating detailed scoping documents).
Interview Process
  1. Screening Interview:
