This position demands a professional with extensive industry knowledge, ideally someone who has either worked directly within an HVAC organization or has substantial experience in management consulting engagements centered on HVAC clients. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the strategy lead, playing a critical role in bridging the gap between various business units and our technical team to identify both business and IT requirements. Key Responsibilities:
  • Industry Analysis & Strategy Development: Conduct thorough market and internal analyses to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements within the HVAC sector. Develop and recommend strategies that align with the client's business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with stakeholders across different business units to understand their unique challenges and requirements. Act as a liaison between the business and technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment of objectives.
  • Requirement Gathering: Lead the process of gathering detailed business and IT requirements from various departments, ensuring that the tech team has all necessary information to develop effective solutions.
  • Best Practices Implementation: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of the HVAC industry to guide the client towards adopting best practices and cutting-edge solutions that can drive operational excellence and competitive advantage.
  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring that all consulting engagements are executed on time, within scope, and with optimal results.
Qualifications:
  • Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the HVAC industry or in management consulting with a focus on HVAC clients. A track record of successfully delivering consulting projects and/or implementing technology solutions in the HVAC sector.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is preferred.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations, financial metrics, and strategic planning within the HVAC context. Ability to identify issues, analyze data, and propose actionable solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with proficiency in engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executive leadership.
  • Analytical Thinking: Capability to dissect complex problems, extract relevant information, and devise strategic solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: While not a prerequisite, experience or familiarity with technology implementations within the HVAC industry is highly beneficial.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to navigate changing project scopes and client needs, with a keen focus on delivering high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
Expectations:
  • Employment Type: This role offers flexibility in its structure and can be pursued either as a full-time position or on a contract basis, based on mutual agreement.
  • Location: Candidates should be based in North America with the ability to work within the Eastern Time (EST/EDT) zone to ensure alignment with the team's operational hours.
  • Work Arrangement: Our preference is for the candidate to work from our Toronto, Ontario office at least three days a week to foster collaboration and team synergy. However, we value talent and efficiency over location and are open to remote work arrangements for the right candidate.
