About you

As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in generating new sales opportunities and adding qualified leads to our sales funnel. You will be responsible for either outbound, inbound or both prospecting, including cold outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn, as well as qualifying warm leads.  You’ll be the merchant's dedicated point of contact during the qualification period, creating an incredible first impression and providing an unrivaled consulting experience. Your work will directly impact our goal of making commerce better for everyone. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams internally and externally, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving. Further:
 
  • You are interested in a career in sales. Prior experience at Shopify and/or a company in the Commerce, Digital, Marketing, or Payments SaaS space is a big asset
  • You are empathetic and have the desire to help our customers and align with their success

  • A strong written and verbal communicator - you are able to present a pitch or craft an email in a clear and concise manner

What you'll do

  • Drive new business growth through qualifying warm inbound leads from marketing generated sources primarily through telephone and email communication
  • You will be the "mini CEO" of a defined territory and primarily lead all strategic outbound prospecting efforts for new customers in this territory
  • Track prospects through the sales cycle (tele-appointments, materials sent, demos, etc.) and leverage data to identify the most effective and unique approach for each funnel
  • Work closely with Sales Leadership to continuously optimize
  • Become a Tidal + Shopify expert - you'll be able to answer any questions prospects may have about our consulting and services
  • Consistently deliver against your set quota. Once you prove that you can smash your quota out of the park, you'll be given the opportunity to lead the sales process from initial contact to close for mid-market customers
