Join us as a technical member of our Product Owner team and support XWP’s mission of building a better web at enterprise scale. You will maximize the value of the product the engineering team is building through effective management of the product vision and roadmap through the backlog.  This role will require a deep understanding of complex software architecture and requirements.

What you’ll need:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role.

  • Experience managing large scale, web-based products with the support of a cross-functional distributed team.

  • Strong understanding of quality assurance processes, methodologies, and best practices, including different types of testing (e.g., functional, non-functional, regression) and familiarity with testing tools.

  • Experience working with executive stakeholders to solve problems using technology.

  • Ability to manage products, handle requirements, and prioritize the backlog for multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience using Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban and project management tools (e.g., JIRA)

  • Technical background or strong understanding of web development technologies.

  • An eye for great UX/UI and good understanding of design best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills


Bonus

  • CSPO credentials or relevant certifications.

  • Strong understanding of WordPress, including themes, plugins, and customization.

  • Working on high-scale WordPress installs and platforms like WordPress.com and VIP


What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the development and success of multiple projects in the Wordpress space.

  • Working with our clients stakeholders to understand the business, market, and user needs for their products.

  • Creating definition and alignment of product strategy when needed.

  • Clearly translating the product vision and high-level business goals into actionable product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Managing, refining and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined with all necessary information for developers and QA.

  • Collaborating with designers and developers to ensure that requirements are understood and implemented correctly.

  • Performing manual testing and identifying, documenting and following up on defects, as well as unmet requirements or expectations.

  • Working closely with project managers, designers and developers to ensure successful delivery of projects.

  • Monitor and analyze product metrics, making data-driven decisions to prioritize features and improvements.
