About the role


Role Description/Overview

This role provides a student with hands-on experience in data management, problem-solving, and nonprofit operations. The participant will support the development team with organizing donor information, analyzing trends, and maintaining accurate records that strengthen Yaqeen’s community-serving programs.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Enter and maintain donor data in CRM systems under supervision
  • Assist with reconciling donations and ensuring accuracy
  • Prepare simple reports to help understand donor engagement
  • Support improvements to donor experience processes
  • Help with meeting notes, scheduling, and administrative tasks
  • Assist with event coordination and digital engagement activities


Qualifications/Required Skills:

  • Experience with spreadsheets (Excel and Google Sheets)
  • Basic data entry and record-keeping skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to identify errors and ensure data accuracy
  • Comfortable learning new software and technology platforms
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (such as Salesforce) is an asset but not required


This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs grant program. In order to participate the candidate must:

  • Be between 15-30 years of age, at the start of the funded position.
  • Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or someone to whom Refugee Status   has been granted/conferred.
  • Have a valid SIN
