AACA is a Nonpublic School (NPS) serving students ages 5 to 22 with severe behavioral and developmental needs. Our mission is to provide individualized instruction and therapeutic support to help each student reach their fullest potential in a structured, compassionate environment.

We are seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. This individual will provide expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), develop effective behavior intervention plans, and support teachers, paraprofessionals, and families in implementing evidence-based strategies. You must be caring, patient, and dependable to join our team at AACA. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:30AM-3:30PM.

Responsibilities & Duties

The BCBA will:

• Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBA) to identify the purpose of challenging behaviors.
• Develop, write, and oversee individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Provide direct support and modeling of ABA strategies in classroom and school settings.
• Collect and analyze behavioral data to monitor progress and adjust interventions.
• Train and support teachers, paraprofessionals, and staff in implementing ABA-based interventions.
• Collaborate with IEP teams to set behavior goals and track measurable outcomes.
• Provide parent training and consultation to promote consistency across school and home settings.
• Monitor and ensure fidelity of ABA implementation throughout the program.
• Address crisis situations and provide de-escalation support when needed.
• Stay current with ABA research and best practices to maintain a high-quality program.
• Assist in creating a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment for students with special needs.

Qualifications: 

• Master's degree in applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field.
• Current BCBA certification (in good standing with BACB).
• Prior experience working in special education or school-based settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ABA principles and behavioral intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication, training, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and adapt strategies to individual student needs.
