Adapt

About Adapt

Every company will have a central company agent. Adapt is the platform for building, running, and governing it. We connect the models a company chooses to its systems, data, people, and workflows. With persistent memory, secure compute, deep integrations, reusable skills, and enterprise controls, Adapt helps the agent understand real context, complete real work, and improve over time.

We believe this infrastructure should be open, portable, secure, and controlled by the organizations that depend on it. Models will change. What a company builds with Adapt stays theirs. Join us in building the platform that will define how companies work with AI.

About the role

We are hiring Adapt's first dedicated product marketer. You will make a deeply technical and rapidly evolving product clear, relevant, and compelling to developers, technical leaders, enterprise buyers, and the broader open-source community.

You will develop a deep understanding of our customers, users, market, competitors, and product. You will turn that understanding into positioning, messaging, launches, customer stories, competitive materials, and sales enablement that help people understand why Adapt matters and how to adopt it.

This is a hands-on role on a small team. You will work directly with the CEO, Product, Engineering, Sales, customers, and open-source users. You should be equally comfortable interviewing a developer, shaping a product narrative, writing launch copy, creating a sales narrative, and determining whether the message is working.

What you will own

  • Customer and market insight. Build a continuous research practice across customers, prospects, developers, open-source users, lost opportunities, and the broader market. Turn those insights into clear recommendations for Product, Sales, and company leadership.
  • Positioning and messaging. Define Adapt’s category narrative, product positioning, audience-specific messages, value propositions, and competitive framing.
  • Segmentation and ICP. Clarify the users, buyers, companies, and use cases where Adapt delivers the most value. Help the company prioritize the right audiences and opportunities.
  • Product launches. Build a repeatable launch process with Product and Engineering. Translate capabilities and releases into clear stories, demonstrations, use cases, and distribution plans.
  • Open-source product marketing. Help developers understand, evaluate, adopt, and advocate for Adapt. Partner with Engineering on release communication, documentation, GitHub presence, community feedback, and the path from open-source usage to broader organizational adoption.
  • Customer evidence. Develop accurate, permissioned customer stories, demonstrations, proof points, and evidence of business impact.
  • Sales enablement. Give Sales the narratives, discovery insights, demonstrations, competitive guidance, and supporting materials needed to run effective technical and executive conversations.
  • Competitive intelligence. Maintain a current view of the market, alternatives, emerging categories, and changes in how companies build and deploy agents.
  • Packaging and adoption. Partner with Product, Sales, and leadership on packaging, pricing, activation, adoption, and the journey from individual developer interest to team and enterprise deployment.
  • Measurement and learning. Define how we evaluate messaging, launches, adoption, sales effectiveness, and product marketing programs. Use the results to improve what we say and what we build.

What success looks like

  • Adapt has a clear, differentiated product and category story that Product, Engineering, Sales, and leadership use consistently.
  • Developers and enterprise buyers quickly understand what Adapt is, why it is different, and how it fits into their existing AI stack.
  • Product launches are timely, technically credible, and supported by repeatable systems for research, messaging, demonstrations, enablement, and distribution.
  • Customer and open-source community insights regularly influence product priorities, messaging, and go-to-market decisions.
  • Sales has effective, current materials for technical practitioners, champions, and executive buyers.
  • Adapt builds a growing body of credible customer evidence and product demonstrations.
  • We improve adoption and the path from initial product or open-source engagement to team and enterprise deployment.

What we are looking for

  • Experience marketing an open-source product, developer platform, infrastructure product, or similarly technical product.
  • Experience working on a small or early-stage team where you personally researched, wrote, launched, measured, and iterated.
  • Exceptional writing and editing, with the ability to make complex technical systems clear without making them generic or inaccurate.
  • Evidence of shaping positioning, launching products, and influencing product adoption or commercial outcomes.
  • Technical fluency across AI systems, APIs, infrastructure, developer tools, or enterprise software. You do not need to be an engineer, but you must be able to earn credibility with engineers.
  • Strong customer and market research skills, including the ability to identify patterns without overgeneralizing from limited evidence.
  • Comfort moving between developers, technical leaders, end users, and executive buyers.
  • High judgment, curiosity, and a bias toward shipping useful work rather than waiting for perfect information or a large team.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation strategy including large equity grants for early hires at an early stage in the company's journey
  • Inclusive healthcare packages (medical, dental, vision)
  • Frontier AI access: Claude Code, OpenAI, Cursor, Codex, and most importantly unlimited internal use of Adapt itself

Base salary: $150-250k. Actual offer depends on skills, experience, and location. Total comp also includes equity, benefits, and potential bonus or variable pay. Your recruiter will walk you through the details.
