About the role:  

As a Software Integration Lead at Arkeus, you will lead a small team of software engineers and work directly with our customers’ technical teams to ensure seamless integration of our platforms with their systems. You will play a key role in delivering reliable, end-to-end solutions that operate effectively in complex, real-world environments. 

About you: 

You have a strong background in software engineering, with proven experience delivering real systems across a range of environments. Your experience ideally includes software running in embedded, IoT, or robotics contexts, as well as server-driven applications. 

You enjoy working directly with customers and can communicate complex technical topics with clarity and precision. You are confident collaborating with customer engineering teams to debug and diagnose issues across integrated, system-of-systems environments. 

You are a self-starter who can work effectively with colleagues and customers from diverse technical backgrounds, often with minimal technical direction. You are comfortable leading a small team while remaining hands-on in software design and development. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Work collaboratively with software teams, customer success, and business development teams within Arkeus to deliver strong customer outcomes 

• Design, develop, and document APIs for integrating Arkeus products into customer aircraft systems and mission control platforms 

• Understand customer requirements and design solutions to set them up for success 

• Work with product development teams within Arkeus to understand our products’ current and future capabilities and constraints, and translate them into actionable interfaces for our customers 

• Work with customers’ engineers to test and debug end-to-end system integrations 

• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality systems. 

• Lead and mentor a small team of software engineers 

Your experience and skills: 

• At least 10 years’ experience in software development, with a proven track record of deploying reliable software into customer environments. 

• Strong knowledge of software architecture, networking protocols, database management, and Linux-based development. 

• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining APIs for integration with third-party platforms. 

• Ability to clearly and professionally communicate technical constraints and solution options to customers. 

• Previous experience leading teams or technical projects. 

• Ability to hold or obtain an NV1 security clearance.
