Senior Manager, Cyber Security

We are expanding our US team and seeking a senior leader with active CPA credentials to help drive our US growth while reinforcing our commitment to quality, industry leadership, and continuous innovation in auditing.

This role is more than just leading audits—it’s about shaping the future of compliance. You’ll be a key figure in advancing audit quality, staying ahead of AICPA and industry developments, and fostering a learning-driven culture. Working alongside our seasoned leadership team and an experienced audit group—many of whom come from Big 4 firms—you’ll help scale our high-quality, tech-enabled approach to compliance audits and bolster our own compliance to underpin the trust that drives our success.

About the Role 

As the CPA Leader for AssuranceLab in the United States, you will be at the forefront of driving quality, compliance, and innovation in a rapidly evolving audit landscape. This role is instrumental in maintaining AssuranceLab’s reputation as a tech-driven audit firm while expanding its presence in the U.S. market. You will lead the firm’s compliance efforts, build a high-performing team, and shape the future of auditing through cutting-edge AI-powered tools and modern methodologies.

What You'll Be Doing

Credentials and Compliance

  • Manage and maintain AssuranceLab’s CPA firm registration in Montana, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. 
  • Oversee the firm’s adherence to global mobility requirements and compliance standards, enabling seamless operations across our NAMER services that accounts for >50% of our client portfolio.

Quality Leadership

  • Lead AssuranceLab’s quality management system, partnering with co-CEOs, existing services leadership and broader key leaders to set priorities for quality and compliance initiatives. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance audit quality and align with industry best practices.

Team Building

  • Establish and grow a U.S.-based team of audit professionals, fostering collaboration with established networks in Australia and Ireland. 
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop talent, ensuring alignment with AssuranceLab’s values and strategic goals.

Innovation Focus

  • Drive innovation in audit methods by leveraging AssuranceLab’s proprietary AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and client outcomes. 
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and new technologies to modernize traditional audit approaches.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • CPA certification with full credentials and registration with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience. 
  • Experience in cybersecurity and privacy audits, ideally including SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, etc. 
  • Proven track record in a leadership role within a Big Four or mid-tier accounting firm, with a focus on audit and compliance. 
  • A forward-thinking mindset, ready to challenge and improve traditional audit practices. 
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and global compliance standards. 
  • Experience in building and leading high-performing teams. 
  • Passion for innovation and leveraging technology to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
