The Challenge


Looking ahead to 2030, we are targeting reducing GHG emissions from cotton production by half, big cuts in synthetic pesticide use, improve soil health across our network, improve farm income and support women’s empowerment among farmers and farm workers.  

As Membership & Supply Chain Officer, you will be responsible for supports members and supply chain actors to achieve their Better Cotton sourcing targets by enabling access to the Better Cotton Platform, delivering insights through reporting, and supporting stakeholder engagement process, training and events, which contribute to systemic change towards more sustainable cotton production. You will provide high quality administrative support to the LATAM/Portugal Team, and support reporting for the region.  


Areas that play to your strengths


We are seeking a motivated Membership & Supply Chain Officer to join our Membership and Supply Chain Team.

 

Membership Engagement & Support 

  • Recruit and onboard new members and suppliers. 
  • Guide applicants through documentation, cotton consumption calculations, and compliance steps. 
  • Maintain member accounts and process applications using Salesforce and assisting members with annual cotton consumption reporting. 
  • Respond to stakeholder queries via Helpdesk and escalate when needed. 
  • Support external communications and awareness of Better Cotton initiatives. 

 

Supply Chain Operations 

  • Monitor and troubleshoot account creation and transaction processes. 
  • Clean and validate data to ensure system accuracy and compliance. 
  • Compile and analyze KPIs (e.g., uptake rates, inventory structures). 
  • Deliver supplier training programs (online and in-person). 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve tools and processes. 

 

Reporting & Administration 

  • Provide high-quality administrative support to the LATAM/Portugal team. 
  • Support regional reporting and performance monitoring. 
  • Translate and adapt tools and documents for cultural and linguistic relevance. 


We are looking for someone who has


Essential 

  • Customer service orientation – for account creation, data validation, and stakeholder management.  
  • Data Analysis and reporting –Excel advanced functions)  
  • Event and training organization and delivering – for organizing and delivering on-line and in-person training programs and stakeholder events.  
  • Documentation and compliance review – for onboarding and membership processing.  
  • Helpdesk systems and procedures – for managing stakeholder queries.  
  • Sustainability and textile industry knowledge – understanding Better Cotton’s mission and practices. 
  • Multilingual communication – ideally Spanish, Portuguese, and English. 
  • Effective communication

  • Time management

  • Salesforce CRM proficiency

Working arrangements


The position is full-time (40 hours per week), offers flexible working arrangements, and will be based remotely in Brazil. The role will be hired through an employer of record acting on behalf of Better Cotton. The role requires occasional travels to meet the team and some stakeholders (up to 15%)

Initial Screening:

Reference Checks:

Offer stage:

After completing interviews, assessments, and reference checks, the hiring team evaluates your performance and fit for the role.
