Better Cotton is accelerating its efforts to deepen impact and transparency across global cotton supply chains. These initiatives support our global network—brands, retailers, suppliers, and producers—in navigating rapidly evolving regulatory landscapes and growing demand for more sustainable cotton.
Reporting to the Sr Manager Supply Chain & Traceability India, the Senior Membership Coordinator will play a key role in strengthening and expanding Better Cotton’s membership base across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka as well as other assigned regions globally. This role involves executing and scaling membership operations, ensuring compliance with Better Cotton’s standards, and fostering engagement among stakeholders. A core focus will be enhancing the Membership participation and member retention, helping members integrate sustainability within their supply chains. The role will require close collaboration with the global team to align regional membership strategies with Better Cotton’s broader objectives.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in stakeholder engagement and membership operations, with a proven ability to lead regional team and collaborate effectively cross-functionally. Success in this role will require a blend of commercial acumen and a sustainability focus, along with the ability to manage training and events, utilise CRM systems effectively, and engage senior stakeholders.

The Challenge
Looking ahead to 2030, we are targeting reducing GHG emissions from cotton production by half, big cuts in synthetic pesticide use, improve soil health across our network, improve farm income and support women’s empowerment among farmers and farm workers.

Beyond these specific responsibilities outlined above, the Senior Membership Coordinator is expected to collaborate on activities and lead on projects as agreed with the Country Director, Senior Manager for Member Engagement, and as required by the functional Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Planning, while displaying exceptional service orientation. The role will also work in close collaboration with the India Demand & Engagement team and the broader Country Team to ensure alignment and effective delivery of regional membership objectives.

Working arrangements
The position is full-time (40 hours per week) and will be based in the Delhi, India. Better Cotton offers flexible working, with core hours being 10am – 4pm. The Senior Membership Coordinator is expected to work in alignment with the organisation’s hybrid and flexible working policies, based at the Delhi office.
