ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Provide excellent service, and assistance to all members and guests.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
• Assist in the instruction of tennis lessons for individuals and groups, including juniors and adults of various skill levels.
• Help create, manage and organize tennis and pickleball programs, including clinics, tournaments, camps, games and social events.
• Provide on-court assistance during tennis and pickleball activities and maintain a positive and motivating atmosphere.
• Assist in the development and implementation of tennis and pickleball curriculum and programs.
• Offer personalized feedback and coaching to players to improve their skills and performance.
• Help with day-to-day tennis and pickleball facility operations, including scheduling, court maintenance, and equipment management.
• Foster a positive, engaging environment for Bluejack members and guests, creating a welcoming experience.
• Assist with promoting tennis programs and events by collaborating with the events and marketing teams and member outreach.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during tennis activities.
• Additional duties as requested by Bluejack leadership.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Minimum of 2 years of tennis teaching experience and player rating of a USTA 4.0 level or higher preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tennis and pickleball rules, techniques, history and strategies.
• Ability to teach and communicate effectively to individuals of all ages and skill levels.
• Lead and expand our Junior Tennis Program and foster a love of tennis among juniors by providing creative, engaging programming.
• Certification in tennis and/or pickleball teaching (such as PTR, USPTA, PPR, IPTPA or equivalent) preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of racquet sports equipment and apparel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Passion for racquet sports and helping others learn and improve their game.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• High work ethic, with sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team.
• Must be able to stay organized and work independently.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:
Weekdays, weekends, and Holidays, schedule flexible as business dictates.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. that make up the work environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and move around for the entirety or majority of their shift. of this position, the employee is also regularly required to push, pull, bend, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Likely this role will require the ability to drive a golf cart to transport from one area of the property to another in a safe and secure manner.
