Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior AI Engineer to join our team within the energy sector. The Senior AI Engineer will play a critical role in the development and deployment of advanced AI solutions, collaborating with AI engineers and data scientists to achieve impactful outcomes. Reporting to the Data Solutions Manager, the ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and a proven track record in developing AI and data products.

Location:
Parma, Italy. We operate a smart working policy, and candidates for this role have the option of working full-time in our office, based in Parma, or hybrid (part on-site, part remote).

Responsibilities: 
  • Design, develop, and deploy innovative AI solutions for power network monitoring, forecasting, and fault prediction.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align AI initiatives with overall business goals and strategies.
  • Define project objectives, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring successful execution of AI projects from inception to deployment.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to team members, fostering skill development and growth within the AI team.
  • Integrate AI solutions seamlessly into the broader data architecture and strategy.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies and apply this knowledge to enhance AI capabilities.
  • Drive a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration within the AI team.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, presenting technical concepts and progress updates in a clear and concise manner. 
 
Essential Criteria: 
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading AI projects and developing AI engineering solutions.
  • Experience with technologies in the data and AI landscape, such as Spark, Airflow, MLFlow, scikit-learn, and cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Strong coding skills and database programming
  • Experience with deploying AI solutions in production environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering AI solutions that drive business value.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Familiarity with energy sector practices and domain knowledge is a plus.
