About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist to shape the future of mission-critical data analysis and machine learning applications at the core of our systems. Our products improve our customers’ operational performance through technologies providing insights in various domains such as asset monitoring, asset optimization and predictive maintenance. The candidate will analyze large amounts of raw information and build data products to extract valuable business insights.


Responsibilities:

Ā·       Translate business questions into analytical ones using available data; collaborate with other stakeholders to source missing data.

Ā·       Identify valuable data sources and automate data collection with data engineers.

Ā·       Clean and analyze large datasets to uncover trends and patterns.

Ā·       Present information using data visualization techniques and build predictive models.

Ā·       Formalize assumptions about how models should behave and define metrics for model monitoring

Ā·       Follow best practices and maintain clear documentation.

Ā·       Take ownership, think critically, solve problems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Ā·       Leverage analytical, business, and technical skills to uncover actionable opportunities in partnership with engineering, product, and business teams.

 

What you'll need:

  • Experience and strong passion for data mining and data modeling
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist
  • Expertise in statistical techniques such as classification, clustering, regression, statistical inference, feature engineering, etc.
  • Proficiency in Python for advanced analytics, along with libraries like Scikit-Learn, Pandas, TensorFlow/PyTorch
  • Strong SQL/NoSQL database skills and familiarity with ETL processes.
  • Experience with Source Control Management (Git) 
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams to provide requirements and create project roadmaps for consistent data availability, quality, and accessibility
  • Analytical mind and business acumen
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Natural curiosity and desire to learn
  • Be a self-starter, driven, accountable, and a collaborative teammate.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or relevant field. PhD is a plus.

 

Nice to have but not essential:

Ā·       Experience with Data Analytics & ML Platforms (e.g., Databricks, SageMaker)

Ā·       Hands-on experience in automation of data quality monitoring

Ā·       Experience with predictive maintenance models

Ā·       Experience in data processing and orchestration frameworks (Spark, Airflow, etc.)

Ā·       Experience with CI/CD Pipelines (Gitlab CI)
