About The Role
We are looking for a People Operations Manager to join our Operations team in New York City. In this role, you will focus on Employee Relations and support various HR functions at Bipsync.
Reporting to the VP of People Operations, you will be instrumental in creating a positive workplace culture, maintaining compliance with labor laws, and implementing HR initiatives that reflect our mission and values. Your responsibilities will include enhancing processes and policies, managing onboarding and offboarding, administering benefits, ensuring compliance, promoting employee engagement, and assisting with recruitment efforts.

Responsibilities
Recruitment, Onboarding & Development
- Assist with recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent in alignment with company objectives and diversity goals, while supporting on/off-boarding processes and contributing to the development and maintenance of our Employee Learning Centre.
- Ensure job descriptions are current and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Support the People Experience Manager in fostering employee engagement by leveraging a dedicated team culture budget to drive initiatives that emphasize in-office collaboration, development, and team connectivity.
- Assist with the development of training and performance programs to support employee growth and career advancement.
- Conduct exit and stay interviews.
Benefits & Compensation
- Administer U.S. employee benefits programs—including health insurance, 401(k), disability, and other voluntary benefits—while ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations related to benefits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries, providing support to employees regarding benefits options and processes.
- Alongside the VP of People Operations and VP of Finance, manage relationships with benefits vendors and brokers to optimize benefit offerings and negotiate contract terms.
- Collaborate with the VP of Finance to ensure accurate payroll auditing for benefits eligibility.
- Support the VP of People Operations in keeping the compensation strategy up to date and enhancing and implementing employee performance programs.
Employee Relations & Communication
- Assist in implementing communication programs to help keep employees informed about company policies, procedures, and benefits updates.
- Provide training on personnel policy and procedure guidance to both employees and management.
- Address and resolve employee issues, grievances, and disputes in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards.
Compliance, Reporting & Projects
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws, including OSHA, EEOC, FMLA, and other regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare necessary reports for compliance, audits, and senior management review.
- Carry out ad-hoc projects as required.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of experience working in an HR shared services or operations function.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong interpersonal relationships across functions and levels, with comfort navigating a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to delivering a high level of employee service, with demonstrated initiative and leadership skills.
Knowledge
- Working knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including workers’ compensation, workplace safety, EEOC, FLSA, and related regulations.
- Experience using an HRIS (e.g., Rippling, HiBob, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint for collaboration and document management), with strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Comfort with pivot tables, v-lookups, and larger datasets is ideal.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Certifications (Preferred)
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred but not required. Candidates without certification are still encouraged to apply.
