About the Role 

 

The Collection Specialist is responsible for billing clients, verifying transactions, monitoring incoming payments, identifying accounting discrepancies, and contacting clients to collect payments. This position will be focused on customer reconciliations, working with the accounting team on financial statements, and assisting with month-end closing procedures.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Serves as a Tendit cultural example and upholds the highest level of integrity and confidentiality. 
  • Builds trust and maintains a high level of confidentiality with business leaders. Interacts professionally, positively, and respectfully with tact and discretion in all situations. 
  • Establish and manage customer invoicing and payment processes. 
  • Assists with the total Accounts Receivable cycle. 
  • Maintain day-to-day accounts receivable operations. 
  • Develop and implement customer-facing invoices and collections policies. 
  • Maintain accurate customer information in the ERP system. 
  • Research, resolve, and communicate any discrepancies or outstanding balances on customer accounts, including telephone, mail, or email correspondence. 
  • Maintain systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts receivable functions, to ensure adherence to company guidelines. 
  • Manage monthly closing of Accounts Receivable records. 
  • Maintain Accounts Receivable files and year-end files. 
  • Review and input customer payments into the Accounts Receivable sub-ledger 
  • Contribute to the close of month-end accounts Receivables, annual reporting, and consistent improvement of the accounts receivable department. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

What You Will Need:

  • An associate degree in accounting or a related field is preferred, or at least 1-3 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable or related position. 
  • Must have experience with multiple ERP systems. Previous experience with NetSuite software is preferred.
  • Experience with and understanding of construction pay application processing.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 
  • Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process improvement mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time appropriately.

Compensation for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 hourly, depending on experience, plus the potential for a quarterly commission bonus. This position is located in the office at 7979 E Tufts Ave, Denver, CO 80237.
