About the Role 

The Irrigation Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems across commercial properties, such as office buildings, retail parks, and industrial complexes. This role requires expertise in irrigation systems, leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

What You Will Do: 

• System Management: Operate, install, maintain, and repair manual, semi-automatic, and automatic irrigation systems.
• Drainage Systems: Install, maintain, and repair drainage systems to ensure proper water management.
• Team Oversight: Supervise and coordinate a team of irrigation technicians to complete daily tasks, including landscape duties such as sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, and snow removal.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in irrigation systems, including diagnosing malfunctions and implementing cost-effective solutions.
• Project Coordination: Accurately bid repairs, track repair costs, and manage seasonal programming of irrigation controllers with appropriate watering schedules.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to safety and company policies while working in various weather conditions.
• Customer Interaction: Maintain positive relationships with clients by providing excellent service and addressing concerns promptly.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support operational goals.

What You Will Need:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong dependability and reliability, with a proactive work ethic.
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift at least 20 pounds.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions, including snow, heat, and rain.
• Proven experience with well pumps and irrigation system troubleshooting.
• Prior experience programming irrigation controllers with seasonally appropriate watering schedules.
• Fluency in English; Spanish fluency is a plus.
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Familiarity with landscaping tools and power equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Compensation for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience.
