About the Role

 

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be crucial in ensuring the organization's proper functioning and upkeep of facilities, equipment, and systems. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and implement repairs to maximize operational efficiency and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. 

 

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential hazards.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubricating parts, replacing worn components, and cleaning machinery to prevent breakdowns and prolong equipment lifespan.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact on operations.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural problems and implement effective solutions to restore functionality.
  • Utilize hand, power, and specialized equipment for repairs and adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruptions to production or business activities.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Stay informed about advancements in maintenance technology and techniques to enhance skills and improve efficiency.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as needed.

 

 

 What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required.
  • Vocational training or certification in maintenance or related fields is a plus. 
  • 2-3 years experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, patch paint, and plumbing systems.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to maintenance activities.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
  • Stamina to work in environments involving standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing.
  • Tolerance for working in various weather conditions and potentially hazardous environments.

Compensation for this position is $24.00 - $32.00 hourly, depending on experience.
