About the Role

 

As a Seasonal Snow Removal Technician In-Town, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation during winter weather conditions. Your primary responsibility will be to remove snow and ice from airport runways, taxiways, and other critical areas, using specialized equipment and techniques. In-town shifts are 5-10 hours, depending on weather. 


What You Will Do:

  • Snow Removal: Operate snow removal equipment, including snow plows, snow blowers, and de-icing trucks, to clear snow and ice from Concourse C aprons and other airport surfaces.
  • De-icing: Apply de-icing chemicals to aircraft and airport surfaces to prevent ice formation and ensure safe operations.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections on snow removal equipment to ensure its proper functioning and safety.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following traffic control guidelines.
  • Emergency Response: Assist in emergency response efforts as needed, such as clearing snow from roads and parking lots during severe weather conditions.

 

 What You Will Need:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment, such as snow plows or de-icing trucks, is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in cold weather conditions and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

 

Compensation for this position is $25.00 hourly
