About the Role
This position will develop and implement the strategic planning and execution of assigned construction projects. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects. Reviews project estimate/contract and establishes work plan to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget. Follows company standard processes and utilizes standard tools to ensure consistency across the company. Collaborates with owners and operations managers to continually improve results. Organize field teams to maximize scheduling results. Oversee field crews, monitor production rates, and manage field staff success. The position is also responsible for complying with all policies and procedures, managing resources, promoting teamwork, and maximizing internal and external customer satisfaction.
What You Will Do:
- Meets with the general contractor onsite to review the work plan and schedule to ensure proper execution of the project from beginning to end. Onsite before work starts, throughout the project to completion. Responsible for progress documentation and pictures uploaded to Drive.
- Ensure sufficient deployment and productivity of work crews through job pack preparation. Ensure all information is accurate and appropriately translated to crews for precise and consistent communication.
- Conducted project take-off materials and maintained inventory control-purchasing. Visits job site before ordering materials, discussing with contractor, engineer, and city to obtain accurate quantities.
- Meets with crew lead and goes over project expectations before the crew leaves for the job site. Dispatch and schedule crew and ensure crew has all tools, equipment, materials, consumables, and PPE.
- Participates in Scheduled meetings twice daily to ensure projects are being scheduled appropriately.
- The warehouse manager helps prepare all materials for the crew the day before. Ensure pallets are labeled and wrapped for each job while informing the Lead of pallet location and readiness.
- Administrative tasks include scheduling meetings, documenting meeting minutes, maintaining project documentation, and liaising with all internal and external customers.
- Maintain project data according to company standards to ensure accurate and current data are available for control measurements on all assigned projects. Utilize the PM tool Tracker.
- Ensures the delivery of consistent and accurate management reporting to accelerate decision-making.
- Ensuring all daily project reports are turned and complete, with billables, mobs, quantities, staff, equipment, stabs, conditions, and hours all input accurately.
- Continuously monitor performance using recognized tools and software. Comparing bids to actual field needs and reporting any discrepancies, concerns, mistakes, or suggestions to management immediately.
- Researches and transfers best practices to support performance improvement throughout the
- department. Evaluate daily performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Implements standardization of operational policies and procedures across the system as appropriate. Maintains consistent application, ensuring ASC method standards are met.
- Provide weekly and monthly status updates on assigned projects. Additionally, is responsible for adding photos to the Drive for each project's previsit, start, progression, and completion.
- Helps with project close out quantity discrepancies. Works with accounting to ensure accurate billing, mob charges, etc., with documentation to back up conversations and agreements.
- Ability to act as project manager (GC) for in-house Prime projects and project manager representative for multiple contract delivery methods. Manage subs, crews, communications, and all related requirements.
- Provide leadership to team lead and supervise all projects.
- Acts as the safety officer on the field and ensures proper safety procedures are followed.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple phases and a broad range of contract values.
- Visit projects to review the project's progress concerning schedules, subcontractor and supplier performance, quality standards, safety control, and Project Construction Team performance.
- Attend pre-construction meetings before the start of construction so that periodic meetings, such as progress meetings and site visits with stakeholders, continue as necessary.
- Ensure timely closed job reports.
- Engages in open communication with the operations manager and reports any issues that could affect the project plan.
What You Will Need:
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in general contracting/construction
- Management and pavement marking management are a plus.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in construction is a plus.
- Must communicate effectively in both oral and written form clearly and professionally.
- Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Office and very proficient in Excel.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relations and an open mind.
- Impeccable organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Construction Management, including scheduling and financial management.
- Broad-based business acumen and understanding of operational and budgetary expectations.
- Bilingual is a plus.

Compensation for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience, with commission potential.
