About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Customer-Facing Software Development Project Manager to lead and drive projects that deliver significant value to our customers. This role focuses on ensuring seamless communication between the software development team and clients, alongside steering projects to successful completion.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage software development projects from inception to completion, ensuring they align with customer requirements and timelines.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships through effective communication and demonstrating deep understanding of client needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and QA testers, to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, track progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
• Utilize agile methodologies to manage projects flexibly and adjust to changes swiftly.
• Conduct regular risk management assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential setbacks.
• Facilitate project meetings, providing key updates to stakeholders and maintaining clear, detailed documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client specifications.
• Implement best practices for project management, including the use of relevant project management tools and software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in project management within software development environments.
• Strong customer interaction skills with a track record of building solid client relationships.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a solid understanding of its challenges and demands.
• Background in consulting, with an ability to advise clients on industry best practices.
• Exposure to software development frameworks and languages, particularly React, Python, and JavaScript.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, SCRUM Master, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
