The Account Manager at Corva drives growth through direct sales to E&P companies and oil and gas operators. In this “hunter” role, your primary responsibility is to identify, target, and secure new business opportunities for Corva. You are tasked with aggressively pursuing potential clients, nurturing leads, and ultimately closing deals to drive revenue growth. This role requires a proactive, results-oriented, and self-motivated individual who can thrive in a competitive sales environment. A high motor is required!!!

 

The person in this role will pursue new business opportunities with small to medium-sized oil and gas operators in the US. The role is supported by an aggressive marketing organization, a very technically savvy solutions engineering team, and a Drilling, Completions, and Geoscience Platform that is the industry leader. All that is missing in an aggressive, hungry, self-starter with a track record of producing results above expectations.  

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads through various methods such as prospecting, networking, and market research.
  • Initiate contact with potential clients through phone calls, emails, LinkedIn, and in-person meetings.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospects, understanding their needs and pain points.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, tailored to the specific needs of each prospect.
  • Clearly communicate the value proposition of the company's products or services
  • Lead negotiations with potential clients, addressing objections and concerns.
  • Work towards closing deals and securing new business contracts.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and management to align efforts and share insights.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and opportunities using CRM software.
  • Provide regular reports on sales progress and accurate, weekly sales forecasts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitors to identify opportunities for market expansion.
  • Gather feedback from clients and use it to improve products or services and enhance the customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (business, marketing, engineering, geology or a related field preferred)
  • 5+ years in sales and/or account management in the oil and gas industry (bonus points for drilling and/or completions background)
  • Ability to work cross-departments within the organization
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience in sales, with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed at an individual level
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools (Hubspot preferred)
  • Knowledge of the industry and market trends.
  • Willingness to travel, if required
  • Adaptability and resilience in a competitive sales environment
