Daphne helps scale the distribution of alternative asset products (e.g., Private Equity/Credit, Real Estate) by streamlining product information transmission from Asset Managers (e.g., Apollo) to their Channel Partners (e.g., Banks, Financial Advisors, Investment Consultants).
Daphne is headquartered in London, New York, and Tel-Aviv. This role is based in our Tel Aviv office and follows a hybrid model (3 days onsite, 2 days work-from-home).
You Are
- Excited to join as one of the first engineers at an early-stage, fast-growing startup with a customer-centric mindset.
- A generalist with at least 4 years of experience, eager to take ownership and contribute wherever necessary to make an impact.
- Leveraging GenAI tools extensively to build well-architected, robust systems.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain production-grade backend services and data infrastructure.
- Contribute to system design, architecture, and technical decision-making.
- Work with product, data, and business teams to shape new features end-to-end.
- Help establish engineering best practices as one of the earliest technical hires.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and workflows using GenAI and automation.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on software development experience in a commercial environment.
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Comfort working in a cloud environment (preferably AWS).
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile workflows.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute within a collaborative team environment.
About the role
- We're looking for a Software Development Engineer with at least 2 years of experience to help us evolve and scale our B2B SaaS platform. This is a hands-on development role with an emphasis on clean code, thoughtful architecture, and pragmatic problem solving.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain core features of our product across the stack.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver intuitive, scalable solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews.
- Integrate with third-party APIs and services.
- Help improve system performance, reliability, and technical debt.
- Work in an agile environment with a focus on shipping frequently and iterating fast.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on software development experience in a commercial environment.
- Nest.js/Node.js proficiency.
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Comfort working in a cloud environment (ideally AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Understanding of web application architecture.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile workflows.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute in a collaborative team.
