HSE Coordinator

We are currently looking for a skilled and dedicated individual to grow our team and ensure that Dias is a great place to work.


Primary Responsibilities:

Working based out of our Saskatoon office:

  • Provide guidance and support on health and safety matters to all levels of the organisation.
  • Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of safety policies and procedures to be compliant to current regulations.
  • Provide project support by conducting risk assessments or job hazard analysis and identify potential hazards and controls for projects.
  • Collaborate with Operations, project Crew Leads and project teams to develop project site emergency response plans for non-remote and remote work.
  • Set up new site project team profiles in eCompliance and assign the required documentation for review and acknowledgement.
  • Assist Human Resources in the company Onboarding and Offboarding Processes.
  • Deliver any onboarding and refresher training to all new and current employees.
  • Assist/Lead Incident Investigations to determine root cause and necessary corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor HSE performance metrics for project sites including daily toolbox meetings, site equipment and vehicle inspections, and leading and lagging indicator reporting.
  • Assist and advise the Occupational Health and Safety Committee during quarterly meetings, incident investigations and inspections.
  • Any other duties relating to health and safety as assigned by the HSE manager.

Required Skills

  • Post Secondary certificate, diploma or certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a Health & Safey role, preferably in the Seismic, Mineral Exploration or Mining Industries.
  • Experience in online EHS Management Compliance systems is considered an asset.
  • Experience in hazard identification & control, emergency response planning, incident investigations and inspections.
  • Demonstrate good communication with internal and external clients.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal and Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel to remote project locations as required.
