Position Overview:
The Financial Controller will oversee the finance team and ensure that the day-to-day operations of the finance department run efficiently, meeting all deadlines. This role is responsible for project reporting, preparing accurate and timely financial statements on a monthly basis, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the finance team, providing leadership and guidance
- Ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the finance department, meeting internal and external deadlines.
- Prepare timely, accurate monthly financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain effective financial controls, policies, and procedures.
- Manage project reporting, including tracking budgets, analyzing variances, and ensuring financial accountability.
- Coordinate the preparation of year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Monitor cash flow, manage forecasting, and oversee budgeting processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation (required).
- A minimum of 3-5 years of post-designation experience in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Experience with project reporting and financial planning.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
