About the role

The Paid Static Designer creates static paid social ads for DTC and ecommerce brands across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and other paid channels. This role translates approved creative briefs into high-quality visual assets that are on-brand, platform-ready, and delivered on time to support campaign launches and creative testing plans.

This role partners closely with the Lead Multimedia Designer, Director of Design, Creative Strategists, Account Managers, and fellow designers to turn strategy into effective visual execution. The Paid Static Designer is expected to independently interpret approved briefs, develop visual concepts and executions, and manage priorities within their assigned workload.

Broader testing direction, messaging strategy, account-level creative priorities, and paid social performance analysis remain owned by the Creative Strategist and account team.

The role supports a portfolio of brands, with workload varying based on production volume and creative complexity. A designer may support approximately 10 lower-volume brands or 6 higher-volume brands that require frequent new concepts, variations, and weekly deliverables. Success in this role depends on maintaining a high standard of craft, consistency, and organization across multiple brands while working within fast-moving production timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Translate approved creative briefs into effective static ad visuals for paid media campaigns.
  • Develop visual concepts and executions within the approved strategy, messaging, and testing priorities set by the Creative Strategist and account team.
  • Design assets that align with channel requirements across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and other paid platforms.
  • Create new concepts, variations, resizes, and iterative assets to support campaign needs and active testing plans.
  • Balance brand consistency with the need to move quickly, incorporate multiple stakeholder inputs, and meet expected turnaround times.
  • Apply platform requirements while creating visually differentiated ads that do not feel repetitive across concepts and variations.
  • Manage priorities independently within the assigned workload and communicate proactively when volume, feedback cycles, or deadlines create constraints.
  • Make day-to-day design decisions about layout, hierarchy, composition, visual differentiation, and production approach within the approved brief.
  • Collaborate with Creative Strategists and Account Managers to clarify briefs, flag creative limitations, and recommend design solutions.
  • Collaborate with other designers to share feedback, strengthen creative quality, and support teammate queues when needed.
  • Organize and maintain creative assets in Figma to support efficient workflow, handoff, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Stay current on paid social design trends, platform-specific requirements, and creative best practices, and apply those learnings to the work.
  • Use AI tools, including Claude, to support research, concepting, competitive analysis, and workflow efficiency while exercising sound creative judgment.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience designing paid social creative, preferably for ecommerce or DTC brands.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating static ad creative that balances brand storytelling with direct-response goals.
  • Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Understanding of ad specifications and platform nuances across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.
  • Familiarity with paid social creative testing environments and how creative work supports broader campaign performance, without direct ownership of performance analysis.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to interpret briefs and feedback, incorporate changes quickly, and maintain quality under tight timelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent brands, concepts, and deadlines without losing attention to detail.

Note on Application Responses

We strongly encourage applicants to answer questions in their own words. While tools like ChatGPT can be helpful for organizing or polishing your thoughts, it is very easy to recognize when responses are copied and pasted without personalization.
