What is the purpose of this role?
The Revenue Accountant supports the company's revenue accounting and billing processes by helping ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency. This role assists with revenue recognition, billing activities, month-end close responsibilities, and cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Sales, and Operations.

As a Revenue Accountant, you will support revenue accounting operations, billing processes, and month-end close activities while gaining exposure to revenue recognition principles and the order-to-cash cycle. You'll work closely with experienced accounting professionals and cross-functional teams to help maintain accurate financial records, resolve billing issues, and contribute to process improvements.

What will you do?
- Assist with reviewing customer contracts and orders to support accurate billing and revenue recognition.
- Support billing operations and help maintain accurate customer invoicing.
- Investigate and help resolve billing discrepancies by partnering with Sales, Account Management, Accounts Receivable, and other internal teams.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including revenue-related reconciliations and reporting.
- Support compliance with revenue recognition policies and internal controls.
- Help maintain revenue accounting documentation and processes.
- Generate reports and provide data support for internal teams and customers as needed.
- Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Assist with audits and ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as needed.
What do you bring to DOOR?
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of accounting, finance, billing, revenue accounting, accounts receivable, or related experience.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a revenue accounting function.

- This is a hybrid role based in our St. Louis (Creve Coeur) office, offering a balance of in-office collaboration three days per week and remote work two days per week.
