GenLogs Corporation

Product Designer

GenLogs is a hardware, software, and data company building the next generation of Truck Intelligence™. Our mission is to build unbreakable supply chains in order to make our world safer and stronger. Through a nationwide network of sensors, we help our customers source carriers, eliminate fraud and theft, and provide real-time visibility on every truck in America. By operating at the intersection of edge sensing, computer vision, AI-driven analytics, and large-scale field deployment, GenLogs is transforming how transportation data is captured, secured, and commercialized.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Product Design team at GenLogs shapes how customers interact with freight intelligence at scale. We transform complex operational data into intuitive workflows, interfaces, and visual systems that help our customers make faster, more informed decisions. Our work spans investigative tooling, geospatial intelligence, operational dashboards, workflow automation, and customer-facing analytics products built on top of the Trident sensor network.

We work closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Go-to-Market teams to ensure every experience is usable, scalable, and grounded in real customer needs. From early discovery through production launch, the Design team plays a critical role in defining how sophisticated intelligence systems become accessible, actionable software.

ABOUT THE JOB

You’re a systems thinker who cares deeply about user experience and product quality. You enjoy turning ambiguous requirements into clear, intuitive interfaces and thrive in highly collaborative environments where design is tightly integrated with product and engineering.

You bring strong UI/UX fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and a practical understanding of how software gets built. You’re comfortable working directly with customers to understand workflows and pain points, and you know how to translate those insights into wireframes, polished interfaces, and developer-ready specifications.

You are detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture. You care about interaction quality, consistency, usability, and clarity and you’re energized by building products that solve real operational problems in complex industries.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Partner closely with Product to conduct customer interviews, gather requirements, and translate feedback into actionable design solutions
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity UI designs for web-based intelligence and analytics products
  • Build interactive prototypes in Figma to communicate workflows, edge cases, and key interactions
  • Record short walkthrough videos and design explanations to improve cross-functional alignment and implementation clarity
  • Produce developer-ready handoff assets including specifications, component states, annotations, and interaction documentation
  • Collaborate with Engineering throughout implementation to ensure the final product matches design intent
  • Support UAT and QA processes by validating implemented UI, documenting issues, and refining user experience details
  • Present and demo designs to internal stakeholders, leadership, and customers
  • Maintain and evolve design systems, documentation, and product design standards as functionality grows
  • Create supporting visual assets for marketing, customer presentations, and go-to-market initiatives when needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UI/UX Design, or related digital design roles
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work across complex web applications or SaaS platforms
  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma
  • Experience creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, design systems, and high-fidelity product interfaces
  • Ability to translate customer feedback and business requirements into thoughtful user experiences
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams and understanding technical implementation constraints
  • Strong visual design instincts with attention to layout, typography, hierarchy, and interaction patterns
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain design rationale clearly
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving environments with evolving product requirements
  • Experience supporting QA/UAT processes and validating production implementations

Near Shore Salary Range (LATAM)

GenLogs engages near-shore engineering talent across Latin America—primarily in Colombia—to expand our development velocity and global engineering capacity. Compensation for near-shore employees is benchmarked to local market conditions, engineering specialization, and seniority level. Salary ranges vary depending on location, experience, and role complexity, and are structured to ensure competitive, long-term retention within regional talent markets.

A recruiter will provide a specific salary range for this role during the hiring process, based on:

  • Seniority level (e.g., mid-level, senior, staff)
  • Engineering discipline (e.g., backend, full-stack, data engineering, QA, platform)
  • Local market benchmarks and cost-of-labor indices
  • Skills, experience, and technical depth of the candidate

Near-shore employees receive competitive compensation appropriate to their region and employment structure.
