About the role

As the Market Launcher for China, you will play a critical role in driving the expansion of Hawkcell’s animal healthcare solutions into the Chinese market. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of introducing cutting-edge MRI technology designed specifically for animals. You will be responsible for market entry strategy, business development, and building key relationships in the veterinary and animal research sectors.

Your deep understanding of the animal healthcare market in China, combined with your network in the veterinary or animal research sector, will be key to your success. The ideal candidate is a local Chinese speaker with proven experience in animal healthcare, and a passion for improving the industry through innovation. This role will be a part-time (1 - 2 days a week) and remuneration will be commission-heavy.

What you'll do

  • Market Strategy & Entry: Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for introducing Hawkcell’s animal healthcare solutions in China.
  • Business Development: Build and manage relationships with veterinary clinics, hospitals, and research institutions, driving adoption of our technology.
  • Partnerships & Sales: Identify and secure local partners and distributors to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
  • Local Market Expertise: Provide insights into regulations, cultural practices, and business environments specific to China.
  • Project Management: Oversee the operational rollout, ensuring smooth implementation and coordination with internal teams.
What we are looking for
  • Experience: 5+ years in the veterinary or animal research sectors with a strong understanding of the Chinese market.
  • Language: Fluent in Chinese and English (spoken and written).
  • Business Development: Proven experience in market expansion, sales, or partnerships within the animal healthcare sector.
  • Network: Strong connections within the veterinary or preclinical research communities.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
