About the role

We are currently proposing a collaborative Master 2 Internship between HawkCell and Carmen. The project aims to develop and validate multi-omics and radiomic biomarkers using quantitative MRI (qMRI) and AI. The selected candidate will work under the direct supervision of Drs. Dorez and Girard, PhD (HawkCell) as well as Prof. Canet-Soulas, DVM/PhD (CarMen).

CarMeN (INSERM U1060/ INRAE U1397/ Université Lyon1; https://carmen.univ-lyon1.fr/en/) is a biomedical research laboratory in the field of cardiovascular diseases, metabolism, diabetology and nutrition, aiming to improve knowledge of these diseases and to identify and validate new therapeutic and preventive strategies for a better patient care. CarMeN offers a unique environment for the realization of true translational research.

What you'll do

• Multi-site validation of qMRI sequences
• Data acquisition and analyses of qMRI sequences
• Assessing clinical outcomes on subject cohorts
• Identifying relevant radiomic and multi-omics approaches
• Interacting with AI team to implement algorithms
• Peer-reviewed manuscript preparation

What we are looking for

• 2nd year Master student from an engineering program with a major in bioengineering, biology or physiology, or equivalent university background
• Eager to get your first experience in a start-up environment
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Passionate, detail-oriented, and proactive
• Interest in digital or technical solutions and international culture
• Enjoy challenging environments and can adapt to unforeseen situations
