The Role

We are seeking a Junior Developer to join our Victoria-based team. This is a newly created position, ideal for someone straight out of university or with limited professional experience, including small roles or personal projects. The role offers the opportunity to experiment, learn, and contribute to meaningful projects in a collaborative environment.

We are looking for a passionate individual with a love for continuous learning and a curious mindset. The ideal candidate thrives in diverse, collaborative teams, communicates effectively, and eagerly engages with projects from start to finish, delivering thoughtful and innovative solutions.


Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to implement features and maintain full-stack software solutions
  • Contribute to technical discussions and learn from senior team members
  • Contribute to technical specifications, designs, and project schedules
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on requirements and deliver cohesive solutions
  • Refactor and improve codebases for performance and maintainability
  • Monitor system performance and respond to alerts under guidance from the team
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Familiar with at least one programming language (C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, React or similar) 
  • Experience in or an eagerness to learn full-stack development, including both front-end and back-end frameworks and ecosystems
  • Familiarity with software practices such as event-driven architecture, SOLID principles, and test-driven development.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills to solve complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative mindset, with enthusiasm to participate in pair programming, code reviews, and team discussions
