The Role

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our software products through rigorous testing and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders, you'll help shape exceptional user experiences by identifying issues before they reach our customers.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Design test coverage across deterministic and non-deterministic layers, making conscious decisions about how coverage is distributed between E2E, API, and AI evaluation.
• Define comprehensive testing strategies that set out what to test and what not to test, across functional, non-functional, and emerging AI-based behaviours.
• Write API and contract test cases for service integrations, covering schema validation, argument correctness, authentication, and error handling.
• Extend the team's automation frameworks by contributing reusable fixtures, helpers, and global setup patterns.
• Run evaluation passes on AI-generated test outputs, using AI tooling for test generation and enrichment while applying human judgement to validate the results, and distinguish between prompt gaps, rubric gaps, and genuine product quality issues.
• Track and report on quality KPIs for your product area using scorecard data, defect escape rates, and coverage metrics.
• Coach developers and product managers on testing practices, shifting the mental model from "QA tests it" to "the team owns quality", and help define what "done" looks like rather than only testing against it.
• Perform root-cause analysis on recurring production issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Solid experience with E2E, API, and exploratory testing across web applications.
• Experience authoring automated tests in a modern framework using fixture-based, test-isolated, CI-stable patterns.
• Experience authoring BDD scenarios and working with product stakeholders to validate acceptance criteria.
• Ability to write API test cases covering schema validation, authentication, and error responses.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python sufficient to read, write, and debug automation code.
• Experience troubleshooting test failures and performing root-cause analysis.
• Comfortable in a CI/CD environment, with ownership of how automated tests integrate into the pipeline and stay stable.
• Able to deliver quality outcomes without close supervision, debugging and resolving issues independently.
