About the role


Our Dispatch Team play a crucial part in supporting the airport to thrive and operate seamlessly, as a Dispatch Agent at LSA you will be responsible for conducting the turnaround of the aircraft, communicating with each department involved to ensure a smooth and on time departure for our passengers 

 
We bet you’re thinking “so what is it I will actually be doing day to day?” well….  

  • I will be responsible for coordinating the turnaround of the aircraft from their pre arrival all the way through to their post departure. 
  • I will be responsible for ensuring that all services are in place for an on-time departure. 
  • I will be responsible for maintaining compliance with each airlines weight and balance regulations.  
  • In the instance of a delay, I will be responsible for detailing the delay report to all relevant authorities.  
  • I will perform various paperwork and administrative duties.  
  • I will work with my team and my colleagues from other departments to meet our goal of providing our passengers with a positive journey through our airport.  
  • I will be working outside in all weather conditions. 
  • I will fully embody the Airports ‘One Team’ culture and understand that there may be times when I am required to undertake other activities to support the needs of the business.  
  • I understand that the Airport is in operation 24/7 so I may be scheduled and expected to work any shift during operating hours, this will include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays 


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


Sounds good so far? You’re probably wondering “What skills and experience do I need for this role?” there are just a handful of skills you need in order to undertake this role, everything else we can teach you, if you can answer yes to all of the below requirements you have the required skills:  

  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills. 
  • A strong written and verbal communicator.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
  • Experience in aviation is not essential but would be advantageous.
