As we scale our platform, we are seeking a Lead Product Research & User Experience Manager who possesses a deep understanding of user behavior, exceptional research skills, and a passion for enhancing digital user experiences. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading our research efforts to inform user-centered designs and ensure that our products meet the needs and expectations of our diverse user base.


Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of UX researchers and designers, guiding the development of user-centered research and design processes from conception through to final product delivery.
  2. Collaboration: Partner closely with the product, design, engineering, and marketing teams to align research findings with our strategic objectives, user needs, and technological feasibility.
  3. Research Development: Design and conduct comprehensive user research activities, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiries to gather insights that inform product development.
  4. User-Centered Design: Translate research findings into actionable insights that drive the creation of intuitive, innovative, and effective user experiences across our product suite.
  5. Design System: Contribute to and maintain a user-centered design system that ensures consistency across all products, promoting best practices and standards within the team.
  6. Technical Liaison: Work closely with developers and designers to ensure that research insights are accurately translated into the final product, troubleshooting any issues that arise during development.
  7. Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest UX research methodologies, tools, and industry trends, and integrate relevant practices into our research and design processes.



Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Design, or a related field.
  • Proven track record as a UX researcher or similar role, with a portfolio demonstrating your research methodology and the impact of your work on product development.
  • Expertise in research tools (e.g., UserTesting, Lookback, Hotjar) and familiarity with design software (e.g., Figma, Sketch).
  • Solid understanding of human-centered design principles and experience in applying them to create digital products.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present research findings and design concepts to stakeholders.
  • Experience conducting user research across diverse populations and incorporating feedback into iterative design cycles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to enhancing user experiences through evidence-based research.

Compensation & Work Arrangements:


The commitment required from you is a few hours a week, working remotely, until our global launch. While this role is currently unpaid, you will be given vested equity in our startup, along with a range of vested benefits. Once the app launches in the spring of 2025, this role will transition into a paid full-time role.
