What will you be doing?

Your typical daily duties will include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. Division and location of employment subject to change, based on the needs of the business.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems according to specifications and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout and wiring of electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with team members and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Test electrical systems and components to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to coordinate work and address concerns.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to physically lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds, unassisted, frequently throughout the day (physical work is more than 70% of the job)
  • Ability to safely climb up and down ladders
  • Ability to work alone once instructions have been given
  • Able to complete a full day’s assignments involving one or more of the following: bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching over head, and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment and any other safety related equipment
  • Able to wear personal tool belt at all times on the jobsite
  • Able to work from various heights via ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other safe work platforms and areas
  • Able to work in and around restricted/confined spaces such as; manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics, clean rooms, and raised metal floors
  • Able to work in extreme weather conditions and elements, indoor or outdoor, including heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, and snow depending on job location
  • Specific vision abilities required
  • Able to work a 40 hour work week, with overtime and off-hour shifts as required

 

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
