Senior Business Development & Solutions Manager- Capital Markets Trading

Location: NYC Preferred (Remote First Environment)

Job Type: Full-Time

Department: Business Development

Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 based on experience

Reports to: Head of Commercial Growth and Partnerships

Position Summary

Growth at N3XT is driven by market structure design, deep network effects, and high-value institutional execution. The Commercial team is responsible for introducing narrow banking and frictionless fiat settlement on-chain to the world's most sophisticated capital markets trading counterparties.

We are seeking a highly consultative, technically-fluent Senior Business Development & Solutions Manager who operates at the intersection of business development, product strategy, and technical execution. You will guide and assist institutional clients as they integrate N3XT’s infrastructure into their daily trading workflows, lead hands-on API integrations, and pilot projects to co-develop and test new product capabilities directly with clients. The emphasis for this role will not be on conference/trade show prospecting but instead focused on deepening client relationships through increased adoption of N3XT product and services.

Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial & Growth, you will operate at the intersection of US banking rails, institutional liquidity flows, and digital asset markets—engaging Trading teams, Settlements teams, Engineering teams and Executives to build tailored, technical banking solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Client Workflow Integration & Product Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to institutional clients, evaluating their daily trading workflows (pre-trade collateral placement, intraday margin settlement, post-trade clearing, and treasury management) and guiding the seamless integration of N3XT’s banking products into their settlement tech stacks.
  • API Integration & Technical Onboarding: Serve as the primary client-facing bridge between institutional product engineering and business teams. Direct clients through technical documentation, API architecture, and endpoint implementation to enable automated, 24/7 programmatic fiat settlement.
  • Pilot Program & Innovation Development: Partner with tier-1 clients to design, launch, and execute targeted pilot programs to test and validate new settlement products, bespoke features, and emerging market mechanics in real-world trading environments.
  • Workflow Mapping & Technical Solutioning: Map out complex client trade lifecycles across OTC desks, prime brokers, and exchanges to identify operational bottlenecks and build targeted API-driven optimization strategies.
  • C-Suite & Technical Stakeholder Advisory: Partner with client CFOs, Treasurers, Heads of Trading, and CTOs to architect tailored banking setups that accelerate fiat-crypto settlement cycles and maximize collateral liquidity.
  • Institutional Origination & Deal Structuring: Lead end-to-end deal cycles with tier-1 and mid-tier institutional market participants, executing value-add partnerships based on rigorous problem-solving.
  • Trading & Settlement Feedback Loop: Translate client feedback and pilot metrics into structured technical requirements for N3XT's internal teams, directly shaping our long-term product roadmap and API capabilities.
  • Client & On-Site Engagement: Travel up to 50% (both domestic US and international) to meet directly with institutional clients, lead technical integration sessions, and conduct high-value executive and product advisory meetings.

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of commercial experience and knowledge in Capital Markets Trading, BD/Sales, Technical Account Management, Solutions Engineering, Prime Brokerage, FX/OTC Trading, or Institutional Digital Asset Infrastructure.
  • Travel Flexibility: Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time, both domestically within the US and internationally, to engage with key institutional stakeholders and client teams on-site.
  • Hands-on Technical & API Proficiency: Demonstrated experience reading, explaining, and testing RESTful APIs, webhooks, and system integrations. Comfortable leading technical integration calls alongside client software engineering and trading teams. Demonstrable ability to map out complex flows of funds and other messaging flows in diagrams with experience creating technical workflow diagrams (Miro, Lucidchart).
  • Capital Markets Trading & Settlement Expertise: Deep understanding of trade lifecycles, order execution workflows, clearing and settlement mechanics (T+0/intraday settlement), prime brokerage margin, and liquidity management across institutional trading desks.
  • Pilot & Product Execution Skills: Proven track record of scoping, launching, and managing pilot programs or proof-of-concepts (POCs) with institutional clients to test new financial products or workflows.
  • Digital Asset & Crypto Fluency: Sophisticated knowledge of institutional digital asset infrastructure—specifically stablecoin rails, fiat-crypto ramp mechanics, CeFi liquidity desks, and emerging tokenized asset workflows.
  • Strategic & Consultative Mindset: Ability to navigate complex multi-stakeholder decisions involving both business leaders (CFOs, Heads of Trading) and technical teams (Chief Architects, Engineering Leads).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic coding/scripting experience (e.g., Python, JSON API testing via Postman).
  • An established network of decision-makers across Wall Street, Tier-1 trading desks, market makers, exchanges, and institutional fintechs.
  • Direct experience navigating institutional onboarding, complex KYB/AML requirements, and multi-jurisdictional banking regulations.
  • Experience executing "land and expand" strategies, growing pilot programs into enterprise-wide deployments.

Core Values: Who We Are

  • Get It Done: We deliver on our commitments, meet deadlines, and take complete accountability to achieve our goals.
  • Never Settle: We pursue excellence through continuous improvement, constantly elevating client experience, security, and personal growth.
  • Integrity Over Ease: We operate with radical transparency, honesty, and respect—doing what is right for our clients, team, and stakeholders, even when it is difficult.
