Position Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer in Test (SDET) at Netwrix, you will drive quality-centric methodologies across our software development life cycle. By partnering with cross-functional teams, you will develop, implement, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and strategies. You will play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards, while proactively identifying areas for test optimization and process improvements.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, scripts, and tools for comprehensive feature coverage.
  • Create and implement test plans and strategies that validate new features, enhancements, and regression scenarios.
  • Integrate test automation into continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline product releases.
  • Utilize AI wherever possible for test planning, creation, and execution, as well as for triaging defects and suggesting fixes.
  • Collaborate closely with development, product management, and other quality teams to ensure efficient test coverage and clear communication of issues.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members, sharing best practices for test automation and quality assurance.
  • Identify, record, document, and track defects, proposing targeted solutions to improve product stability and user experience.
  • Analyze test results, investigate root causes of failures, and recommend corrective actions to maintain product reliability.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, making data-driven suggestions to enhance testing processes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience (minimum 4-7 years) as a Software Engineer in Test or similar role, with a track record of delivering production-quality automated test systems.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, NUnit, xUnit, or related).
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, integration, performance, and security testing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with an ability to convey complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development practices.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based testing environments, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and virtualization (such as Hyper-V)
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing tools.
  • Contributions to open-source software, especially in the domain of test automation or QA.
  • Experience leading projects or mentoring junior engineers.
  • Experience with cybersecurity products (especially Identity based).
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server platform
