What you'll do (mostly this...other duties may be assigned):
- Effectively manages all cash funds used in the operation of the hotels, including house banks and cash drawers.
- Supervises Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable at the property level
- Reconciles deposits and prepares daily deposits
- Completes daily log of check activity and ensures payments are properly posted daily.
- Produces aging report weekly and initiated proper collection efforts for any account past due 30 or more days
- Manages credit authorization process, including Sertifi authorization and third-party vendors
- Ensures implementation of best practices for guest payments by check and credit card, including enforcing daily credit limit checks and proper guest notification/processing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with cash handling, ID verification, and safety/security procedures
- Oversee check-in/out, billing accuracy, room assignments, and inventory coordination
- Lead and support front desk agents; provide coaching and enforce standards
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and leadership
