About the role


Role type: Permanent Full time, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Location: Field Based - on client sites, mostly in North London


The Electrical Supervisor role is responsible for ensuring their teams are delivering reliable, quality electrical work. Driving a work environment where teams can excel while ensuring the highest standards of quality, health and safety in all aspects of electrical work.


What you'll be doing

  • Manage electrical team workflow by providing timely solutions to technical queries while ensuring efficient task coordination and adherence to administrative deadlines.
  • Coordinating with inhouse office staff regarding deadlines, recommendations, feedback and areas of improvement.
  • Assess material requirements and ensure timely ordering, stocking, and replenishment by managing vehicle inventory and accurate booking.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations by leading by example, managing the team and overseeing the safe use of tools, small plant, ladders, and equipment.
  • Oversee and perform electrical testing, inspection and remedial work carried out by teams, including fault diagnosis and repairs, ensuring compliance with BS-7671
  • Conduct post-work inspections to ensure quality and compliance, perform workmanship audits, oversee waste disposal, and electrical certification with before and after reports.
  • Promote a positive company culture by motivating and inspiring its adoption across the organisation.

What we're looking for


Essential:

  • Electrical qualifications such as: City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 in Electrical Installation, NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
  • City & Guilds 2391 in Electrical Inspection and Testing or equivalent experience
  • Certification in BS7671 - requirements for Electrical Installations, 18th Edition with two years of experience working as a test and inspection electrician
  • Hold a valid CSCS or ECS card
  • Full clean UK manual driving licence
  • Safety focused approach to customers and work colleagues
  • Collaborative, communicative, and adaptable with a proactive mindset.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge and proven application of Health and Safety regulations and compliance.
  • Demonstrated competence in operating IT systems, such as handheld tablets and digital communicators
  • At least 8 years demonstrable experience as an electrician.

Desirable:

  • Experience in working in the social housing sector
  • Qualification in IPAF and PASMA
  • Qualified First Aider
