About the role


Role type: Permanent Full Time, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

(Will consider Part Time, minimum 32 hours a week)

Location: Site Based - Kent


We are seeking a reliable and punctual individual to carry out weekly fire alarm system and emergency light tests around sites in Kent. This is a crucial role to ensure the safety of these building and there staff and visitors and to maintain compliance with fire safety regulations.


What you'll be doing

  • Perform a routine weekly test of the fire alarm system
  • Perform a monthly test of the emergency lighting system
  • Record and report results accurately in the fire logbook
  • Identify and report any faults or issues to management promptly
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure safe and effective testing procedures
  • Ensure testing is carried out at a consistent day/time each week

What we're looking for


Essential:

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good attention to detail and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to follow a set procedure independently
  • Have a clean DBS
  • Have a full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • Basic fire safety training
  • Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems
  • Health and Safety Awareness
  • Previous Experience Testing Fire Alarms (training can be provided)
  • Able to use tablets/phones and upload reports

Desirable:

  • Basic understanding of fire safety is desirable (training can be provided)
