About the role


The IT Support Technician is a service desk role, providing technical support to end users and troubleshooting common issues. This includes support for software applications, hardware (PCs, laptops, phones, printers) and networking (LAN and Internet connectivity).


What you'll be doing


  • Provide first and second line IT support for all users via phone, email, chat or face to face, as necessary
  • Log and categorise support requests in a ticketing system
  • Assist with user account management (passwords, access requests)
  • Document solutions and maintain knowledge bases.
  • Set-up and configure IT resources, including hardware (PCs, laptops, phones, tablets), software and networks (LANs and Internet connectivity)
  • Ensure that the IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, and aligned with organisational needs
  • Provide Systems and network administrative support for the IT Project Manager as and when needed.
  • Ensure local network and internet connectivity is securely managed.
  • Developing report templates and managing reporting apps and job management system
  • Conduct staff and operative training on organisation-utilised systems and software
  • Stay up to date with relevant technological advancements and assess their potential impact on the organisation.
  • Recommend and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Adhere to RAAM’s Company Values and practice a culture of continuous improvement, professional development and accountability within the teams.


What we're looking for


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure (M365), Ethernet networking, and security.
  • Familiarity with a range of hardware, software, and Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and security
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards; ability to ensure compliance
  • Previous experience in a similar IT role (1 -2 years minimum)


What we offer

 

  • Salary £28,000- 30,000 FTE per annum
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

We begin with an initial interview via teams, and then successful candidates are invited to a second-stage, face-to-face interview with a skills assessment at our Head Office in Enfield.

The pay range for this role is:

28,000 - 30,000 GBP per year (London)
